How to develop a taste for reading and writing
"Begin the class." Quiet please. "
Jaime Perich.
Dedicated to: My teachers in the humanities.
I'll make a confession, it will enable me to do a little thinking with the firm intention of leaving a question in the air, and every viewer respond according to their own needs and concerns existential humanities.
The confession is this: the word love, my passion for writing and for reading my addiction, began to form from the early years of my intellectual life. Only this took place, by himself.
It must be confessed that in the educational process in which I had the opportunity to play my role as student, sadly did not see any kind of incentive, motivation, obligation or whatever you want to call, to discover the world of letters.
I'll put this argument in context, unfortunately schools: education at all levels are not promoting a disciplined taste for reading and writing. I do not question the educational system, and pointed out the shortcomings of some teachers.
In the high school level, for example, (remember we are talking on a personal level), the subjects taught and that we had to do with areas of knowledge related to literature and all forms of expression were seen in a superficial and dogmatic.
I mean the dogmatic teaching attitude that we "invited" to memorize spelling rules without reasons in its application to experience the beauty of the written document.
I mean superficial intellectual laziness to promote the habit of writing. Teaching such behavior inevitably do that I do not find a reason not only to creativity through words, but to any form of writing and then of course, we do not like these subjects.
Fortunately by himself cultivated a taste for the word. Only the books as a lifeguard, prevented me from drowning in a world that strives to be "acculturated." Is that possible?
The intention in this paper is to give you a little encouragement to invite you not to abandon or ignore that little spark that you probably all regard to writing.
