Golf vacation in Marrakech
Marrakech is a popular destination for golfers from around the world. In this city there are several excellent golf courses worldwide that offer exceptional tours. The Royal Golf de Marrakech is the oldest golf course and most renowned of Marrakesh and one of the best on the continent. Located on the Old Road Ouarzazate and consists of 27 holes with a par 72 and a total of 6086 meters. This golf course was built in the 20's by the Pasha of Marrakech and is one of the oldest in the country. Throughout its history it has hosted numerous celebrities, including Winston Churchill, David Lloyd Weber and Ike Eisenhower. The Royal Golf de Marrakech offers three routes: the Menara, of 3,072 meters long and a par 36, opened in May 2008 and is on par with the best golf courses in the world, the Koutoubia is 3014 meters and Agdal, 2939 meters. The field also offers a club and a bar.
The Palmeraie Golf Palace, located in the Palm Grove Gardens consists of 18 holes with a par 72 and a total length of 6214 meters. This field is a true work of art designed by internationally renowned architect Robert Trent Jones in an airy valley, dotted with thousands of palm trees and enriched with seven lakes. The course offers numerous sand barriers that encourage exciting and challenging its 18 holes. In midfield there is a beautiful palace that houses the club and is decorated with traditional green tiles and ocher walls. The club has a restaurant and several terraces and suites facing the Atlas Mountains. The Golf d'Amelkis is the third largest golf course in Marrakech is located at km. 12 of the Road Ouarzazate. The course has 27 holes with a par 72 and a total length of 6657 meters. It was created by landscape architect Cabell B. Robinson and is probably the most visually striking and field attraction of the city. The course is very technical, possibly the most technical of Marrakech, and has numerous bunkers and artificial lakes. There are very few trees along the route, only a few palm trees here and there, but the seductive atmosphere and challenge golfers of all levels.
The course is demanding and challenging, very hilly and uneven, with many early blind, pitfalls to avoid in every hole and 7 lakes suitably arranged and picturesque red brick bunkers made of crushed. There are three routes with a total of 27 holes, while a project is underway to add nine holes, which result in a total of 36 holes.
