Once the data recorded on the DVD, the content can be read on any DVD player.

Features

A DVD recorder can record on DVD (Digital Versatile Disc, Digital Versatile Disc), the optical storage device that replaced the VHS video and CD audio and data. The capacity of a DVD is about 4.7 GB, about 7 times a CD and DVD player needs to read its contents.

Although there are several formats for recording / DVD rewrite with different features and requirements (DVD-R, DVD + R, DVD-RAM), usually the DVD recorder usually compatible with all recording formats as both recordable / rewritable .

Regarding the backwards compatibility, the DVD recorder is usually backwards compatible with the definition CD, so you can play and also in CD format. Also, the Blu-ray successor to DVD format, are backwards compatible with CD and DVD, so that read and write both formats in addition to Blu-ray.

Internal drives can be installed in a 5.25-inch bay, or external USB or generally FireWire.Son widely used in computers to read multimedia and software distributed on optical discs, and burn discs for transport and backup of data.
