Business Networking Techniques - 6 types of network that you do not want to become

Have you ever been to a networking event and met people who make a bad impression? Some people try too hard. Some people try hard at all. And some people just do not understand - they have no idea how to network for business, or the impression they make.

Here are some behaviors that make networking a bad impression. Do not send the message:

1. I am the greatest. These people simply can not wait to talk about their activities. They never stop long enough to find out if they need or interest in their service. They want to be the center of attention, and gets bored when no one speaks. They show little genuine interest in others. Do not count on getting any business from this person.

2. I'd rather talk to someone else: People who are really looking over the shoulder gives you the cold shoulder. Their lack of interest is evident. I look forward to seeing the next person, who may be more interesting than you.

3. I'm working the room at top speed: These people are in a hurry to meet as many people as they can. They smile without really looking. They listen to the answers without questions. Burn holes in carpet ride from person to person, talking to everyone without actually connecting to anyone.

4. I'm here for the free alcohol. The liquor is flowing, but people who take advantage of this can damage their business. Customers see their unprofessional behavior, and may lose business opportunities and sales.

5. I'm too sexy for my clothes: clothes party are different from business suits. All adherent, pure shear is not appropriate or too low. Remember, this is business. Save your clothes party for your friends.

6. I'm raising the wall: Wallflowers eat and drink with their friends and then leave. They never make the effort to meet someone new .......
